Management
Alexander Lauber
CEOAlexander Lauber is Chief Executive Officer at Alpinum Investment Management and heads the business management unit. Previously, Mr. Lauber worked for Morgan Stanley (Switzerland) AG with respect of operational tasks especially for the hedge fund exposure. Before joining Morgan Stanley, he worked for fundinfo AG, a leading international platform for information and mandatory publications of investment funds. He was responsible for the classification of investment funds. He began his career 2006 at Raiffeisenbank where he worked in the front office to advising retail clients.
Mr. Lauber holds a Master Degree in Finance & Banking and a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
Reto Ineichen
CIO | PartnerReto Ineichen is Chief Investment Officer and Partner of Alpinum Investment Management AG and heads research and portfolio management for Alpinum Investment Management AG. Prior to joining Alpinum Investment Management AG, he was portfolio manager and fund analyst between 2011 and 2014 for Marcuard Heritage AG, an independent wealth manager. He was responsible for fund manager selection, due diligence and was a senior member of the asset allocation team. Prior to joining Marcuard Heritage AG he was a portfolio manager and hedge fund analyst for GL Funds AG (2005 to 2011). During his tenure at GL Funds, he also acted as lead fund manager for a dedicated credit fund-of-hedge fund (AuM USD 100m) as well as for a multi strategy fund-of-hedge fund (AuM > USD 300m). Before joining GL Funds, he worked for UBS AG and affiliated companies (1999-2005), which included four years at Fondvest AG (acquired by UBS in 2001). At Fondvest, which he joined in 1999 as analyst, he had the investment responsibility for all fund portfolios including the four FONDVEST Fund-of-Funds by 2001. Other functions at UBS included product development & management roles regarding alternative asset classes as well as fund research.
Mr. Ineichen is a Certified European Financial Analyst (CEFA) and he holds a degree in Economic and Business Administration of the University of Applied Sciences of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
Pascal Schilling
Head Legal and TaxPascal Schilling is Head Legal and Tax and joined Alpinum Investment Management AG in 2015.
Besides his role at Alpinum Investment Management AG, he is General Counsel and a member of the Management Team at Marcuard Heritage AG. Mr. Schilling has more than 16 years’ experience in the areas of Private Banking and Asset Management with focus in matters relating to Financial Services, Tax, Corporate and Commercial Law. Before joining Marcuard Heritage Group, Pascal worked as a senior structuring lawyer for a Credit Suisse Group company. Prior to that, Pascal worked as legal counsel for LGT Group, and as a lawyer for a Zug based law firm. Pascal started his professional career working as a legal counsel for the Swiss national settlement provider. Pascal is a Law School Graduate of the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, and earned his Masters of Law in Information Technology Law at Stockholm University, Sweden. Furthermore, Pascal holds a Master’s in Advanced Studies in Taxation (MAS Tax) and an LL.M in Taxation. He is a Swiss Attorney at Law (admitted in the Canton of Zug).

Oliver Rossi
Senior Portfolio ManagerOliver Rossi is a senior portfolio manager at Alpinum Investment Management AG (AIM). Prior to joining AIM in 2018, he worked in the role of a CIO of a volatility hedge fund. From 2007 to 2014, he was employed as an alternatives and hedge fund analyst at Rahn & Bodmer Banquiers, where he was also a key member of the asset allocation strategy team and the Investment Committee. He holds a Bachelor Degree of Business Administration from the University of Applied Sciences, Zurich and completed the Masters of Science course at EDHEC University, London. He also studied Sinology at the University of Zurich and Tongji University, Shanghai. Oliver is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
Ilario Scasascia
Senior Portfolio ManagerIlario Scasascia is a senior portfolio manager at Alpinum Investment Management AG. Prior to joining Alpinum in 2022, Mr. Scasascia worked for two years at Progressive Capital Partners as Head Liquid Alternatives and Chairman of the Liquid Alternatives Committee. Before that, he was Head of Alternatives & Multi Manager Solutions and Chairman of the Alternative Investments Committee at Vontobel Asset Management. From 2008 to 2010, Mr. Scasascia worked at Quadriga Wealth Management, a Swiss-based alternative investment firm, as a portfolio manager and hedge fund analyst. Mr. Scasascia started his career at BearingPoint in 2005 as management consultant in the Risk & Finance Management department. Ilario Scasascia graduated from the University of Zurich with a Masters in Finance and attended an Executive Education Program at the Yale School of Management in New Haven (USA). He is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
Dr. Alex Hinder
Senior Portfolio ManagerDr. Alex Hinder works part-time at Alpinum Investment Management and in his role as senior portfolio manager he focuses solely on managing a Global Macro Fund. Prior to joining Alpinum Investment Management AG, he was CEO of his own founded asset management company. Before that role, Dr. Alex Hinder worked as an analyst, funds manager, head of research, chief economist and CIO in different organizations. Dr. Alex Hinder holds a PhD of the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland (Dr. oec.).
Rumen Angelov
Portfolio ManagerRumen Angelov is a portfolio manager at Alpinum Investment Management AG. At his previous role at Cape Capital AG in Zurich, he analysed investment funds across all major asset classes as well as single equities for an in-house equity product. Rumen holds a Master of Arts in Banking and Finance and a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. In 2022, Rumen achieved the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing.
Carlos de Vega
Portfolio ManagerCarlos de Vega is a portfolio manager at Alpinum Investment Management. Prior to joining Alpinum in 2022, Carlos worked as a portfolio manager in Santalucia Asset Management, managing over 2 billion of assets in fixed income investments. In 2015 Carlos worked at Bravo Capital, a direct lending Spanish fund, as a Credit analyst. Lecturing on Fixed Income investments at IEB, since 2020. Carlos holds a Master’s degree in Financial Markets from IEB and Bachelor in Business Administration from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos.
Paolo Radice
Portfolio ManagerPaolo Radice is a portfolio manager at Alpinum Investment Management. Before joining Alpinum in 2023, Paolo spent three years at Bank Vontobel in Zurich working as investment specialist and client portfolio manager, where he was responsible for equity and multi asset discretionary mandates for wealth management clients. Paolo graduated from Bocconi University in Milan with a Master Degree in Quantitative Finance and Asset Management and a Bachelor Degree in Business and Management.
Vilien D. Stanisic
Head DistributionVilien D. Stanisic is Head of Distribution at Alpinum Investment Management AG. He has over 15 years experience in the Hedge Fund industry.
Prior to that he was Vice President at Privatbank IHAG AG in Zurich. From 2004 to 2019 Vilien was an External Client Introducing Agent for Signet Capital Management Ltd. In London, UK. A firm specialized in Fixed Income and Credit solutions. Mr Stanisic was instrumental in the build-up of Signet Capital Management Ltd. He holds a Business Administration Degree and developed his knowledge further in International Financial Reporting.
Sandra Moser
Business ManagementSandra Moser is a member of the business management unit at Alpinum Investment Management AG. Before joining Alpinum, Ms Moser worked for more than eight years at Ayaltis AG in Zurich, a hedge fund boutique, where she was responsible for compliance, regulatory & corporate tasks. Between 2003 and 2013, Sandra held various roles in the funds industry, working for fund companies such as GL Funds AG, SAM Sustainable Asset Management AG, Adveq Management AG and Fondvest AG. She started her career at Julius Baer in Zurich, where she finished her banking apprenticeship before joining the money market & forex team. From 1990 until 1996, Sandra worked as a currency options trader in Zurich, London and Frankfurt.
Kelly-Sue Suezawa
Business ManagementKelly-Sue Suezawa is a member of the business management unit at Alpinum Investment Management AG. Before joining Alpinum Investment Management AG in 2019, Kelly-Sue was employed at Zürcher Kantonalbank, where she held various roles over the last years, especially supporting external asset managers with all their needs. She is experienced to support relationship managers and has a broad knowledge about different operational processes of banks and asset managers. Kelly-Sue holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with a major in Banking and Finance at University of Applied Science (ZHAW) in Winterthur and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charterholder. In 2022, Kelly-Sue achieved the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing.

Patrick Stauber
Chairman of the Board of DirectorsPatrick Stauber currently holds several senior positions within the Marcuard Heritage group. This includes Group Chief Executive Officer, Chairman of the Board of Alpinum Investment Management AG and its investment fund structure Alpinum SICAV-SIF in Luxembourg, Vice-Chairman of the Board of FF Marcuard SA in Lugano, member of the board of Marcuard Heritage AG in Zurich, Marcuard Heritage (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. in Singapore, Marcuard Heritage Limited in Cyprus, Atlantis Marcuard SA in Geneva and founding member of the Executive Board of Alliance of Swiss Wealth Managers. From 2009 to 2011, he held the position of Chief Operating Officer of Marcuard Heritage AG and Chief Executive Officer from 2011 to 2015. In 2016, he held the position as Chief Executive Officer at Alpinum Investment Management AG and in November 2017 he took over again as Chief Executive Officer at Marcuard Heritage AG.
Before joining Marcuard Heritage group, Patrick was a partner and member of the management of a Swiss independent asset manager and member of the Board of various UCITS investment fund vehicles in Luxembourg. From 1996 to 2006, he played a pivotal role at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management in Zurich and London including membership of the Board of the Morgan Stanley/MSCI Swiss pension fund. Previously, he spent six years at Citicorp Private Bank Zurich and Citibank NA in London.
Alfred Strebel
Vice-Chairman of the Board of DirectorsAlfred Strebel, born in 1958, joined the Board of Directors of Alpinum Investment Management AG as Vice Chairman in March 2016. Prior to that he spent 16 years, from 1998 to 2014, at Fidelity Investments International where was Managing Director and Country Head of Switzerland, Austria and Eastern Europe. He served as a member of the Central European Operating Committee and was also CEO of their German business during 2007 and 2008. From 1992 to 1998 he was Marketing Manager, in charge of equities, fixed income and research products, at Reuters SA. Prior to that Alfred Strebel was Head of the Foreign Stock Exchange Department and Vice President at Bank Vontobel in Zurich during the period of 1990 to 1992. Previously he was Managing Director at Drexel Burnham, London, responsible for their Convertible Bond Department from 1987 to 1990.
After finishing his banking apprenticeship and commercial school he started his career at White Weld Securities/Credit Suisse First Boston Zurich and London where he spent 5 years, before joining Merrill Lynch in London as a Senior Trader and Associate Director in their convertible bond department during the period from 1982 to 1987. Whilst at Merrill Lynch, he spent 6 months in their Tokyo offices, building a 24 hours trading platform for convertible bonds.
Mr. Strebel holds a degree in business administration from the Graduate School of Business Administration in Zurich and studied for a BBA and Master of Science in Finance from 1995-2002.
Robert Bucher
Member of the Board of DirectorsRobert P. Bucher is member of the Board of Directors of Alpinum Investment Management AG. Mr. Bucher advises and works for international asset managers, banks, family offices and investment funds predominantly in legal, compliance and risk matters as well as in management functions. In the last few years he has assumed roles as a board member, committee chairman and liquidator and acted as legal counsel as well as a compliance officer for various regulated financial services firms. Until January 2008, he was Chief Operating Officer (Deputy CEO), member of the Executive Committee and acting Head Legal & Compliance for Quilvest Switzerland, one of the largest regulated multi-family offices in Europe. From 1997 to 2004, Mr. Bucher was Branch Manager and Head of Law & Compliance (General Counsel) and a member of the Management Committee of Bank Morgan Stanley in Zurich and Geneva. He started his banking career in 1995 with Swiss Bank Corporation (SBC), where he was part of the newly created Corporate Risk Policy department, reporting directly to the Group Compliance Officer of SBC. Prior to this, Mr. Bucher worked for three years as an associate attorney at the law firm of Schellenberg Wittmer in Zurich, advising banks, asset managers and large family foundations in all legal and regulatory aspects. Mr. Bucher graduated magna cum laude from the University of Zurich Law School and is a holder of a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree of the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He also studied international banking and risk management at the Wharton Business School in Philadelphia and is an Attorney-at-Law.

Member of the Board of DirectorsMarkus Wintsch is a partner and shareholder of swisspartners Group AG.
Since 18 years he is CEO of the swisspartners group, located in Zurich, Vaduz, Geneva and Feldkirch, Austria.

Work experience
Markus Wintsch started as investment advisor. After a banking apprenticeship from 1984 -1987, he worked in the Private Banking of UBS from 1988 -1995.
1995 he joined swisspartners as partner, followed by his position as CEO in 2002, where he played a significant role in the development of the company until today.
Markus is based in Liechtenstein, working in Zurich.
